This Privacy Policy governs the use of the Claude Prompt Navigator browser extension ("the Extension"), developed by Kundan and published on the Chrome Web Store.

In strict accordance with Google Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies, the single, dedicated purpose of Claude Prompt Navigator is to provide an in-page navigational index for long conversations on Claude (claude.ai). The Extension has no secondary commercial objectives, data collection operations, or analytical tracking.

2. What the Extension Does

When you browse conversations on Claude, Claude Prompt Navigator performs the following specific client-side actions:

• Identifies User Prompts: Scans the rendered DOM (Document Object Model) of the active conversation page to locate user messages.
• Generates Navigation Sidebar: Displays an unobtrusive sidebar index containing numbered snippets of your user prompts.
• Smooth In-Page Scrolling: When you click a prompt in the sidebar, the Extension smoothly scrolls the page directly to that message.
• Visual Confirmation: Temporarily applies a subtle focus highlight around the selected message to orient your reading.
• Local Counter: Displays the total count of prompts in the current conversation thread.

3. Information the Extension Accesses

To function accurately, the Extension requires content script access to rendered conversation elements. We distinguish clearly between:

The Extension accesses conversation content strictly inside your browser's execution context. That content never leaves your computer.

4. How Information Is Used

All accessed DOM data is used solely to:

1. Create and update the navigation list in the sidebar as new messages are added to the conversation.
2. Calculate scroll offsets when a navigation item is clicked.
3. Display the prompt count badge.

We do not use conversation content to train artificial intelligence models, build user profiles, conduct marketing research, or for any purpose unrelated to immediate UI navigation.

5. Local Processing Architecture

Claude Prompt Navigator operates on a 100% serverless, client-side runtime model:

• Ephemeral In-Memory Operation: Prompt titles are parsed from the active DOM tree and kept in volatile JavaScript memory while the browser tab is open.
• No Backend API: The Extension does not connect to any custom backend server, REST endpoint, GraphQL API, or cloud database.
• No Remote Code Execution: All scripts are packaged locally within the extension bundle installed on your device, preventing remote modification or unauthorized data extraction.

Because no user information or conversation data is collected or received by our infrastructure:

• We do NOT sell, rent, trade, or transfer conversation data to third parties under any circumstances.
• We do NOT monetize user data through targeted advertising or profiling.
• We do NOT share conversation data with AI training pools or commercial aggregators.
• We do NOT transfer conversation data for credit assessment, lending, or promotional purposes.

8. Data Retention Policy

Claude Prompt Navigator does not maintain any persistent remote databases.

Parsed prompt nodes exist only in transient browser RAM. When you close the Claude tab, refresh the page, or close your browser, the in-memory index is immediately discarded. If any UI preferences (such as collapsed/expanded state) are saved, they reside exclusively in your browser's local chrome.storage.local partition and can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing browser storage.

9. Security & Sandbox Isolation

The Extension adheres to standard Chrome Extension Manifest V3 security requirements:

• Strict Host Scoping: Extension scripts are permitted to execute exclusively on authorized Claude domains. The Extension cannot run on or read any other website.
• No Insecure Remote Scripting: Content Security Policy (CSP) prohibits the execution of arbitrarily fetched remote scripts.
• Sandboxed Execution: Extension code runs in an isolated world, preventing interference with other browser extensions or system files.

10. Third-Party Services

Claude Prompt Navigator is an independent browser extension developed to enhance navigation within Claude's web interface.

Anthropic (operator of Claude) is an independent third party with its own privacy policies and terms of service. Claude Prompt Navigator is not endorsed by, directly affiliated with, maintained, authorized, or sponsored by Anthropic.

The Extension does not integrate any third-party analytics SDKs (such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or Sentry) into the extension content script.

11. Children's Privacy

Claude Prompt Navigator is not directed to children under the age of 13. The Extension does not knowingly collect, transmit, or store personally identifiable information from children.

12. Chrome Web Store Limited Use Compliance

Claude Prompt Navigator complies fully with the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies, including the Limited Use requirements:

• The use of information received from Chrome Web APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
• Data accessed by the extension is restricted exclusively to providing and improving the user-facing prompt navigation features.
• No data accessed through permitted APIs is transferred to third parties for purposes outside the single stated utility.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect technical enhancements, architectural updates, or regulatory adjustments. When changes occur, the updated policy will be published at this permanent URL (https://aura-convert.com/chrome-extensions/claude-prompt-navigator/privacy) with an updated "Effective Date" at the top of the page.

Because the Extension operates without a centralized user registration system or remote logging server, users are encouraged to consult this URL to review our current policy.
